Walmart Beauty Brands You MUST Try

Ah, Walmart. It’s the place we often find ourselves at for an array of affordable products, including cosmetics. And while we all know about the usual drugstore brands found there like L’Oreal and Maybelline, you may or may not know about these 3 newer brands that the budget beauty mecca now carries. I got to try all three brands out and I’m hooked! Keep reading on for your new favorites!

Who said great ingredients always has to mean expensive? Found is a line of high-performance skin care and makeup that is almost entirely all-natural. With carefully curated and renewable ingredients from all over the world, the brand is able to provide the quality of luxury cosmetics at a budget-friendly price.

With the Contour & Highlighting Stick (I have the shade Tan), I’m able to get contoured and highlighted in a snap thanks to the creamy, blendable formula and easy-to-use twist-up stick format. I absolutely love the Matte Liquid Lipstick in Caramel & Praline. They’re super comfortable yet long-wearing 2nude shades (my go-to), but the best part is that they smell like s’mores! YUM. My last favorite is the Shape & Define Brow Pencil (I use Dark Brown). I’m normally used to thinner tip brow pencils for precision, but I’m surprisingly impressed by the thicker tip in this pencil for how quickly I can get a polished brow. I LOVE sheet masks and have to say Found has some of the best out there. Price aside, the actual sheet is very high-quality and jam-packed with nourishing essence that leaves you glowing for hours.

Derived from the Korean word for “Elephant”, Kokie Cosmetis strives to bring high-end to the drugstore with their high-quality formulas and wide array of colors. There are SO MANY options to choose from be it makeup, nail polish, or lashes, you’re bound to find a new favorite.

My favorites?

I love the Kokie Nail Polish in the shade Heavenly ($6). It’s a gorgeous periwinkle shade that I find to be quite unique, as I haven’t seen any other color similar to it on the market. If this shade isn’t your style, no worries, they have a ton more from nudes to brights and classic reds. My next favorite is their Powder Contour Palette ($15). Anyone who knows me, knows I’m obsessed with contouring and Kokie’s smooth and pigmented formula is fabulous on the skin while still being easy on the wallet. Lastly, you can’t finish your makeup without a setting spray and their Matte Setting Spray is a winner in my book. It sets my face with a matte, but not flat finish, balancing out the rest of my face which is usually quite dewy and shimmery.

I don’t know about you, but when I think K-beauty, I think of flawless skin and amazing ingredients. New to Walmart, Korean-inspired brand Lalafox hopes to bring the high-quality of Korean beauty to the masses at an affordable price point. Their makeup and skincare is filled with all the good stuff like bamboo water and manuka honey extract and none of the bad stuff like parabens and sulfates. PLUS: How cute is their minimalistic monochrome packaging?

My favorites?

When I’m going for a more understated lip, I go for lip stains and Lalafox’s Colorful Coat Tint in Midnight Wine ($7.15) is gorgeous. The stunning berry color is a step-up from my usual nude lip, but still subtle enough for a natural no-makeup makeup look. But when I am feeling a more everyday nude lip, I love using their Color Fix Lipstick in Eddie ($7.15). It’s the perfect warm pinky brown (totally up my alley). Next, is their Micro Essential Mist ($12). It’s the most luxurious fine mist EVER and I can’t believe it’s so cheap. Pair this with the skin-loving ingredients it’s made up of and you’re left with a dewy, not oily, hydrated look. PRO TIP: Spray this mist before your makeup, after, and throughout the day to stay fresh and glowy! And last, but not least, their incredible Intensive Pro Cleansing Water ($12). I’ll admit, I was pretty late to the micellar water game, but ever since I discovered how amazing they were, I’m always on the hunt for the next best one. What I look for?: one with zero residue and that can really remove my makeup. Lalafox’s checks both of these boxes while also smelling great and being super affordable. Win!
